Sautéed Shiitaki Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • ¾ pound shiitaki mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 shallot minced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a sauté pan.
  • Once the oil is hot, add the mushrooms and sauté a few minutes on medium-high heat until they begin to brown a little.
  • Reduce the heat to low and add the shallots and garlic.
  • Cook until the shallots are translucent and then add the butter and season with salt and pepper.
