Chocolate ganache is a rich topping for cakes and other desserts. It can be used by simply pouring over a cake or tart, and it can also be whipped and used as a filling for cakes and cupcakes.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 oz ounces semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/2 cup cream

Instructions
 

  • Cook chocolate and cream in a small saucepan over very low heat or a double-boiler while stirring.
  • Keep stirring and cooking until the chocolate ganache becomes completely smooth and glossy.

Notes

If the mixture separates, pour the ganache into a bowl, add a teaspoon of cold cream and whisk vigorously and the ganache should come together and smooth out.
